To accommodate Massage Envy’s fast growth, its IT project portfolio consisted of many large, complex, strategic initiatives that required implementation within 6 months. Although the Corporate team at Massage Envy already employs a project management team, they were already fully utilized on other transformational initiatives.
That left critical projects like Point of Sale system enhancements, Massage Envy website redesign and others in need of day-to-day leadership. All projects had hard timelines, various resource constraints, and required substantial coordination with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.

Maven’s project manager was able to easily transition into Massage Envy’s environment and start managing projects in no time flat. Issues and risks were identified quickly and, as with many companies, there were projects being implemented concurrently while sharing the same resources. These resource constraints required coordination with the Massage Envy PM, closely monitoring tasks and daily communication with team members.
Maven’s project manager ensured that resources were working on the right tasks at the right time, and that teams had a clear understanding of project scope, timeline and roles/responsibilities so that all parties were driving towards the same end goal.
